BUDDHA RELICS COME TO SAN FRANCISCO

The 10,000 Buddha Relics Collection, one of the largest collections of its kind in the world, is at the Dharma Treasury Temple Saturday, Sept. 3 to Monday, Sept. 5. Free showings will be open daily for 3 days, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.. In addition, special times to meditate with the relics will be held 9-10 a.m. and 7-8 p.m., every day. The core of The 10,000 Buddha Relics Collection came to Bodhi Light International Inc. (BLI) in 2013 through the generosity of 2 devout Buddhists. Since then, the collection has been exhibited to the public twice yearly in Southern California. Thousands of visitors have come, some traveling from around the world, to be in their presence. Now with the opening of Dharma Treasury Temple in Northern California, BLI is bringing this sacred collection to San Francisco for the first time. A portion will remain in Northern California. Dharma Master YongHua, Founder of BLI, states that the relics will bring peace, prosperity and safety to this country.

The collection features sacred teeth and bones of Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical founder of Buddhism and also includes thousands of gem-like relics found in the Buddha’s ashes after his cremation. There are also relics of his family and closest disciples.

All are welcome to come and receive blessings and to meditate in the presence of the relics. Their powerful energy can help us quiet our minds, experience peace, and return to the inner goodness that we all possess. Meditation instruction will be available on request. Buddha Relic blessings are given daily.
