I absolutely agree with Tom Bullock about freeing up Lake Street for cars. As he said, there is plenty of room on the sidewalk for walkers and wheeling strollers. It is a great inconvenience to have to take more traffic-laden, bus-laden and traffic-light-laden streets, such as California and Geary, when going to Park Presidio to get on the Golden Gate Bridge or to downtown location.
