Aggravated Assault with Gun, Elder Abuse, Terrorist Threats, Dissuading/Threatening Witness, Firearm with Altered ID: 6800 Block of Geary Boulevard, Sept. 9, 10:41 p.m.

The victim was at home and observed his brother holding a meth pipe to their 96-year-old mother’s mouth and lighting it with a torch. The victim said he told his brother, “No, don’t! Stop that!”

The brother then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim saying, “Don’t tell me what to do. I’m going to kill you.”

The victim walked outside the house and called the Richmond Station, then went back inside the house. The brother said, “If you call the police, I will send my friends after you to kill you.”

Evidence of the brother from prior days holding a meth pipe to their mother’s mouth and using a torch to light it, with white smoke coming from the pipe, was seized. A loaded firearm, extra ammunition, meth pipe, and U.S. mail indicia were located during the search warrant service. The firearm’s serial number was missing or altered on the gun. An elderly protection order was also granted and served.

The case was assigned to SFPD’s Special Victims Unit, which is conducting the follow-up investigation.
