Burglary, Forcible Entry: 2200 Block of Clement Street, Sept. 20, 3:16 a.m.
A witness was walking his dog when he observed the suspect vehicle, an older model white SUV with tinted windows, parked in front of a seafood market. Suspect 1 was standing in front as a lookout while three other suspects were inside burglarizing the store.
As the witness walked closer, suspect 1 yelled, “Get back, get back,” so the witness walked to the other side of the street to walk home. Suspects 2, 3 and 4 exited the store, jumped into the waiting SUV with suspect 1 and all suspects fled the area.
All suspects were wearing balaclavas (ski masks) and dark clothing. Stolen was a small safe holding $3,000 in small bills and coin rolls along with the security camera recorder with all the relevant video of this incident. The safe was chained to a filing cabinet which was also stolen.
Robbery With Gun: Nancy Pelosi and Martin Luther King Drives, Golden Gate Park, Sept. 25, 12:15 p.m.
The victim was sitting in the back of a rental vehicle when a black SUV pulled up next to him.
Two suspects exited vehicle and began looking inside the suspect’s vehicle. Suspect 2 broke the rear window with a tool. Suspect 1 brandished a black handgun and pointed it at the victim and told him to give everything. Suspect 2 reached inside the vehicle and stole the victim’s backpack and phone.
The suspects got back into the suspect vehicle and fled the area.
Graffiti Abatement: Geary Boulevard and 10th Avenue, Sept. 25, 11 p.m.
Three suspects were observed in the act of tagging a building’s wall. Suspect 1 was painting a large tag while suspect 2 recorded a video and suspect 3 was acting as lookout.
The suspects were detained and identified. After an investigation, the suspects were arrested with the evidence.
Robbery With Knife: Geary Boulevard and 16th Avenue, Oct. 4, 8:15 p.m.
The victim was walking home from a store on Geary when the suspect approached the victim with a knife.
The suspect asked the victim for money. The victim said he did not have any cash. The suspect then pushed the victim to the ground, then grabbed the victim’s cell phone and car key fob from his hands and fled on foot.
There was no tracking on the stolen phone and the victim declined medical attention for a small laceration on a finger.
Robbery With Gun, Burglary, Unlawful Entry: 2600 Block of Geary Boulevard, Oct. 4, 5:25 p.m.
The victim was the lone employee working in a phone store when the suspect entered and appeared to be shopping.
The suspect then pulled out a handgun and directed the victim to the back business office and was ordered to open the key-code-protected door to the phone supply.
The suspect then ordered the victim to stuff phones into a duffle bag while pointing the gun in his direction.
The suspect took the duffle bag containing the stolen phones, exited the building and fled on foot.
The victim was not injured. Loss was cell phones valued at approximately $15,000.
Shoplifting, Force Against Agent: 3600 Block of California Street, Oct. 18, 4:40 p.m.
Five juvenile suspects entered a drug store and began filling their pockets with merchandise from different aisles. The juveniles were confronted by store employees and all but one put the items back.
The victim, a security guard, confronted suspect 1 at the exit door, telling her to pay for her drink and other items. The suspect poured the stolen drink out on the floor and pepper sprayed the security guard, then fled the store. Suspect 1 stole numerous items totaling $31.
Attempted Burglary, Forcible Entry: 5300 Block Geary Boulevard, Oct. 25, 2:22 a.m.
Richmond graffiti suppression operation officers observed the beginning of a burglary at a convenience store and called for backup.
Officers observed a black SUV with a black bag covering the rear window, driving the opposite way of traffic with its headlights off, then back up to the store’s front door. A silver sedan was with the black SUV.
Two suspects exited the black SUV, connected a chain from the SUV to the store’s front door then drove forward causing the door handles to break off.
As officers drove closer to detain the driver of the black SUV, the SUV drove away at a high rate of speed with the trunk wide open and chain dragging. The silver sedan quickly followed.
The store front was still secure, and no entry was made.
The same store was hit on May 31, 2023, when six suspects used two vehicles to force entry and stole $90,000 in merchandise and cash.
Robbery With Force, Aggravated Assault: La Playa and Fulton Streets, Nov. 2, 8:42 p.m.
The victim was walking on a dirt path in Golden Gate Park that connects with La Playa at Fulton when he was suddenly attacked from behind and thrown to the ground by the suspect. Once on the ground, the suspect punched the victim eight times using both fists then stole his backpack.
The victim lost consciousness during assault and the suspect fled the area.
The victim was medically cleared at a hospital. Lost were a laptop, cell phone, work clothing and wallet, valued at $2,600.
Aggravated Assault With Knife: 3900 Block of Geary Boulevard, Nov. 11, 9:55 p.m.
The victim was standing outside a bar talking with group of people. The suspect became upset that the victim was talking to his girlfriend and returned with a group of friends.
A verbal argument turned into a physical fight when the victim stepped in front of his friend to stop the fight and was stabbed.
The suspect fled the scene.
The victim sustained a one-inch puncture wound in the upper-right abdomen and was transported to a hospital and was listed in stable condition.
Aggravated Assault: 700 Block of Eighth Avenue, Nov. 19, 2 a.m.
The victim was beat up by his drunk son inside his home. The son is reported to have a history of violence against his father when he is drunk.
The victim said he thought he lost consciousness. The victim was transported to a hospital and later cleared by the medical team.
The son was arrested.
Robbery With Force, Elder Abuse: Fulton Street and 10th Avenue, Nov. 22, 12:24 p.m.
The victim, a 74-year-old man, was standing on the corner of Fulton Street and 10th Avenue when he was approached by two suspects who grabbed his arm and said, “Give it up!”
The victim gave the suspects his cell phone and tablet.
The two suspects took the victim’s belongings and entered a waiting getaway vehicle driven by suspect 3 and fled the area. The suspects’ vehicle is a white four-door sedan.
The victim was not injured and refused medical attention.
The suspects’ vehicle appears to have been taken in a carjacking on Nov. 21, the day before above robbery, with a white four-door Acura ILX. The same white Acura ILX was also seen at an Ocean Beach parking lot on the same day. It was spotted by officers and immediately fled at a high rate of speed.
An officer returned to the robbery scene, canvassed the area, and obtained additional video footage from a Nest camera which captured footage of suspects’ vehicle used in above robbery confirming the vehicle was the same vehicle used in the carjacking.
Homicide: 3200 Block of Clay Street, Nov. 30, 7:12 p.m.
Officers responded to a residential building on the 3200 block of Clay Street regarding a well-being check.
Officers arrived on scene and located an unresponsive adult female. They rendered aid and summoned paramedics to the scene.
Despite life-saving efforts made by responders, the victim was pronounced deceased.
The victim’s former boyfriend has been arrested as a suspect in the case.

Robbery With Gun: Parking Lot off Anza Street near Masonic Avenue, Dec. 1, 1:13 p.m.
Two tourists from Spain parked in a shopping center parking lot. When they returned to their rental vehicle a few minutes later, bystanders were pointing at a suspect vehicle (white Nissan) driving through the parking lot and told the victims, “They broke into your vehicle!”
Victim 2 ran up in front of the suspect vehicle to try to stop it. Suspect vehicle hit her causing her to fall to the ground. Victim 1 ran up to suspect vehicle and opened the rear driver’s side door.
The driver opened his door while sitting in the driver’s seat, looked at victim 1 and held a black pistol up in the air. Victim 1 backed away in fear and the suspect vehicle fled.
Property loss included two Apple MacBooks, passports, luggage and assorted police patches from various departments in USA and Spain.
The victims were not injured and refused medical care.
