Editor:
I’ve never felt more disappointed in our leadership than I do today under Supervisor Connie Chan. It’s time to dispel the notion that Connie Chan has our best interests at heart. As someone who is deeply invested in the safety and well-being of this neighborhood, I am compelled to speak out – and to offer my support to a candidate who truly embodies our values: Marjan Philhour.
Unlike Supervisor Chan, Marjan Philhour has been a consistent advocate for public safety, small businesses, and education – values that align with what we want for our neighborhood. Marjan has deep roots here in the Richmond and understands the importance of creating a clean, safe and vibrant community for everyone. She doesn’t just talk about supporting the police. She takes action to ensure our officers have the resources they need to keep us safe.
San Francisco is at a crossroads, and our neighborhood deserves better than the status quo. We are tired of the rhetoric and obstruction that have plagued City Hall for far too long. Marjan Philhour offers a clear vision for the future, one rooted in competent leadership and a commitment to listening to the people she serves. She understands that being a supervisor means taking action and delivering results, not just attending photo ops or making empty promises. If we want to restore trust, safety and prosperity to the Richmond District, we need leaders who represent our values and will fight for us every step of the way.
This November, the choice for the Richmond District could not be clearer. If you think the Richmond is better off today under Supervisor Chan’s leadership, vote for the incumbent. If you do not feel that the Richmond is better off today, then I urge my neighbors to join me in supporting Marjan Philhour for supervisor. Together, we can reclaim our neighborhood and chart a new course toward a safer, stronger, and more vibrant future.

Connie Chan is an excellent choice. She is a caring supervisor that proved herself to us. When workers went on strike to ask for fair wages and benefits, she rose to the occasion. What a better way to help small business as you say than empower the working people to have decent money. The more economically the working men and women are the safer we are. If we vote her out it will be big step backward. Do the math.
