Injury Vehicle Collision: Parnassus Avenue and Stanyan Street, Oct. 22, 8:44 a.m.
Officers responded to the intersection of Parnassus Avenue and Stanyan Street for a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
On arrival, medics were already on scene and had declared the pedestrian deceased.
Per officers’ preliminary investigation, the vehicle and pedestrian were both traveling south on Stanyan Street at Parnassus Avenue when the vehicle proceeded to make a right turn onto Parnassus Avenue and collided into the pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene.
Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest: 1900 Block of Irving Street, Nov. 5, 1:09 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of an unruly customer who was trespassing.
Officers arrived and attempted to detain the suspect. The suspect was acting erratically and was non-compliant.
The suspect was placed in handcuffs and officers tried to put the suspect in the police vehicle. The suspect prevented the officer from placing a seatbelt on the suspect and prevented the officer from closing the vehicle door. The suspect at one point bit the officer on his shoulder.
The suspect was cited.
Battery: 19th Avenue and Judah Street, Nov. 9, 9:28 p.m.
The victim saw an acquaintance (the suspect) and started walking toward him.
The suspect suddenly assaulted the victim. The suspect claimed the victim had assaulted a mutual friend of theirs.
The suspect fled the scene.
Robbery: 1500 Block of Sloat Boulevard, Nov. 11, 11:27 p.m.
The victim was at an ATM when a suspect holding a firearm approached and demanded money.
The victim said he did not have any money. The suspect hit the victim on the forehead with the handle of the firearm. The victim took money from the ATM and gave it to the suspect.
The suspect fled the scene.
Driving Under the Influence: Sunset Boulevard and Lawton Street, Nov. 20, 12:39 a.m.
Officers were on patrol when they observed a vehicle making sudden sharp turns, sudden stops and quick acceleration before slowing down again.
The officer, believing the driver might be driving under the influence, made a traffic stop.
After further investigation and testing, the driver was arrested.
Brandishing a Weapon: Quintara Street and 31st Avenue, Nov. 20, 4:08 p.m.
A Muni driver told the responding officer the suspect wanted to get off the bus, but the bus did not stop fast enough. The suspect brandished a knife at the driver.
Two additional incidents occurred when the suspect brandished a knife at other victims.
The suspect was later cited and taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
Robbery With a Weapon: Ocean and 19th Avenues, Nov. 20, 6 a.m.
A victim with visible injuries to his face boarded a Muni light rail vehicle at 19th and Holloway avenues. A passenger assisted the victim and called 911.
The victim said he went out to dinner the night before and consumed a few alcoholic beverages and was attacked by two suspects. The victim was unable to provide further details regarding what happened.
The victim said he believed he lost consciousness from the attack. His house key and wallet were missing after he regained consciousness.
The victim was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
Burglary, Hot Prowl, Forcible Entry: 1100 Block of Kirkham Street, Nov. 22, 5:16 a.m.
A suspect forced entry into a building and stole a vehicle from the garage.
The victim tracked the vehicle and suspect to Sixth and Jessie streets.
Officers located the suspect and placed him under arrest.
