Police Blotter: Sunset District

Assault: 3600 Block of Santiago Street, Dec. 6, 10:32 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a person being assaulted by a Taser.

The victim told officers that the suspect, a longtime acquaintance, pushed the door open and used a Taser the victim.

The suspect left the scene.

Possession of a Firearm: Lincoln Way and 40th Avenue, Dec. 6, 6:07 p.m.

Officers observed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign and conducted a traffic stop.

A check on all the occupants revealed that one of the occupants was on probation with a search condition.

After further investigation, officers located a firearm and illegal narcotics.

Two people were detained; one was cited and one was arrested.

Brandishing a Weapon: 1700 Block of Ninth Avenue, Dec. 7, 6:25 p.m.

The victim was walking his dog when a suspect exited a vehicle and brandished a knife.

The suspect told the victim to pick up after his dog. The suspect grabbed the victim. After a brief struggle, the suspect left the scene.

Assault, Robbery: 10th Avenue and Ortega Street, Dec. 8, 1:30 p.m.

Officers responded to a hospital regarding a victim of a robbery and gunshot wound.

The victim told officers that he met the suspect, someone he had worked with in the past, to sell a tablet. The suspect told the victim he did not have any money, shot the victim in the leg took the item and fled the scene.

The victim went home and passed out and went to the hospital the next day.

Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol: 23rd Avenue and Taraval Street, Dec. 13, 10:48 p.m.

A vehicle crashed into a bus shelter. The driver of the vehicle was determined to be driving while under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.

Vandalism: 19th Avenue and Irving Street, Dec. 19, 10:21 a.m.

A Muni driver honked at another vehicle causing the vehicle’s driver to get upset.

The driver got out of his vehicle and kicked the glass doors causing the glass to shatter. The suspect stayed on the scene and was later arrested.
