Battery: 1300 Block of 18th Avenue, Jan. 3, 12:56 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a victim and suspect, who were living in the same house, got into an argument that escalated into a physical altercation.
The suspect was cited on the first visit. However, officers had to return. At that time, the suspect was arrested.
Attempted Stolen Vehicle, Probation Violation: 2400 Block of 43rd Avenue, Jan. 3, 8:30 p.m.
The witness heard a vehicle’s alarm going off. When she looked out, she saw suspects inside the vehicle. Officers arrived and detained three individuals.
Officers later learned that two of the suspects had hired a locksmith to gain entry into the vehicle.
After further investigation, the two suspects were arrested.
Traffic Violation, Suspended Driver’s License: West Portal Avenue and Ulloa Street, Jan. 5, 5:42 p.m.
Officers observed a vehicle making a left turn onto a street with a “do not enter” sign. The officers conducted a traffic stop. A computer check revealed the driver had a suspended driver’s license.
The driver was cited.
Battery: 2600 Block of Yorba Street, Jan. 9, 4:12 p.m.
A victim told the officers he was talking with the suspect, his roommate, when the suspect suddenly got angry and pushed him and punched him causing injuries.
The suspect was later cited.
Battery: 2100 Block of 15th Avenue, Jan. 11, 11:19 a.m.
The victims were walking their dog when they encountered the suspect. The suspect yelled at the victims for no reason, broke off a tree branch and threw it at the victims, hitting one of the victims on his leg.
The victim yelled at the suspect to go away, and the suspect eventually walked away.
Sexual Battery: 1400 Block of 33rd Avenue, Jan. 13, 8 p.m.
The victim was walking home when the suspect exited a parked vehicle and touched the victim’s buttock. The victim shouted at the suspect and ran away. The suspect left in unknown direction.
Burglary Arrest: La Playa and Irving Streets, Jan. 18, 4:10 a.m.
A sergeant was on patrol when he saw a person matching the description of a suspect who had committed a burglary incident in the Richmond District.
After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
Assault: 1200 Block of 12th Avenue, Jan. 20, 11:13 a.m.
The victim picked up her daughter and they started arguing loudly. The suspect poked his head out of an apartment building window and told them to be quiet.
The suspect then exited the apartment building. The victim got into her vehicle and was hit by the unknown suspect and her vehicle was vandalized. The suspect left the scene.
Assault: Judah Street and 48th Avenue, Jan. 23, 3:21 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a suspect assaulting another person and vandalizing a vehicle. The victim, a Muni driver, told officers that the streetcar had reached the end of the line when he and a passenger got off.
The passenger returned, saying a suspect was following her. The victim told the suspect to stop. The suspect picked up a sign and hit the victim. The suspect then picked up another sign and threw it at a vehicle, causing damage.
The suspect was located and arrested.
Theft, Outstanding Warrant: 1300 Block of Taraval Street, Jan. 24, 3:27 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a package theft suspect being followed by a witness.
Officers arrived at the scene and detained the suspect.
A computer check revealed the suspect had a warrant for his arrest.
The suspect was arrested.
Threats: 2000 Block of Taraval Street, Jan. 26, 10:54 a.m.
The victim came to Taraval Station to report threats.
The victim told an officer that a suspect walked into the store saying random words. The suspect grabbed chairs and swung them in the air. The victim asked the suspect to leave the store, and the suspect threatened to harm the victim and left.
Theft, Outstanding Warrant: 2000 Block of Irving Street, Jan. 27, 7:34 p.m.
Officers were on patrol in the area when they saw a known suspect who had stolen money from a tip jar. The victim told the officer the suspect walked in on two separate occasions and stole money from the tip jar.
A computer check of the suspect revealed two warrants for his arrest.
Officers attempted to stop the suspect, but the suspect continued to walk away.
The suspect was detained and arrested.
Recklessly Evading a Police Officer, Traffic Violation: 46th Avenue and Ortega Street, Jan. 29, 3:49 a.m.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and failing to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle drove away from the officer and turned off its headlights in the process.
Officers were able to obtain the first four characters of the license plate. Utilizing the license plate readers in the area, Officers were able to identify the owner of the vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle, and the owner admitted to speeding away from officers.
The driver was arrested.
