To all you paid and unpaid supporters of Engardio, if you think the recall effort is a waste of time and money, then convince Engardio to resign!

Yes he should simply do the right thing and resign. Joel, admit to your constituents that you had planned a two-mile asphalt playground all along for years to keep developer money coming in to Scott Weiner and yourself to keep yourselves in office. When you ran for office, you mentioned nothing about your being a YIMBY. Why is that? Once you are of no use to the developer lobby they will drop you like a hot potato. The writing is on the wall. You lied and used us Joel! You are on your way out.

You are now paying big money to political consultants in trying to stop the recall. If you are so popular and well liked why did you need to hire people to get people to like you? The money paying for your “Stop the Recall” effort is mostly from outsiders, the ones at the bottom of the page in your advertisements. Can you tell your constituents who these people are and what you mean to them and what they mean to you besides money? Can you or your supporters tell us why these outsiders are giving you money? Once the recall is on the ballot, will the special interest continue to give you money or will they drop you and move on to another candidate? I am curious how much money these outsiders are willing to give to keep you in office?

On the other hand, the “Recall Engardio” effort is a grassroots movement made up mostly from your own constituents. It is a group of dedicated volunteers with no outside influence other than wanting you to go. The folks working on the recall effort are putting their money where their mouth is. All these donations come in from vouluteer individuals and businesses on the west side and all over the City. Donations have come in from people not living in the City to recall you.

You made a complete traffic mess of the west side of the City. Vision Zero is more like “Minus 10.” As it is well advertised that we have little police protection out here, we even have side shows now. We know that recalling you will not reverse Prop. K. Prop. K is now here to stay unless a court reverses it or another proposition in the future hits the ballot box. We are not telling people that recalling you will reverse Prop. K, we are telling people you lied and made a mess of things and must be responsible for your actions. 

We will continue to resist, till you resign or are recalled.
