Press Release: Last 2025 Heart of the Richmond District Night Market Sept. 20

From the Community Youth Center of San Francisco:

Final Richmond Night Market of 2025 Brings Pet Show, Giant Labubu, and Summer Finale Celebration to Clement Street

The 2025 Heart of the Richmond District Night Market will host its fourth and final event on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 4 to 8 p.m., transforming Clement Street between 22nd and 25th avenues into a lively end-of-summer block party. This finale will feature delicious food, live performances, family-friendly activities, a special pet show organized by Cal’s Pet Supply and a special appearance by a giant Labubu – presented by LionDanceMe, to greet fans and take photos.

“The night markets have been an amazing platform to showcase the essence and heart of the Richmond, from our unique small businesses, our creative artisans and local performers, and it would not be possible without the collaboration of our community partners and amazing merchants,” said District 1 Supervisor Connie Chan. “I am looking forward to this final night market, which will also feature the ever-popular pet costume contest, see you out there!”

“Each Night Market is a reminder of what makes Richmond special – neighbors showing up for one another, families making memories, and small businesses at the heart of it all. We’re grateful to our partners and volunteers for bringing this series to life, and we invite everyone to join us for a joyful finale on Clement Street.” said Sarah Wan, executive director of the Community Youth Center of San Francisco.

Eighteen food vendors, many representing the Richmond District, will serve crowd favorites such as Dragon Beaux, Big Fish House, K-Elements BBQ, Patpong Thai Cuisine, Chef Xiong Kitchen, Golden Edge Pizza, Joe’s Ice Cream, and more – showcasing the incredible flavors and culinary diversity of the neighborhood.

“We’re excited to invite everyone to the fourth and final Night Market of 2025. While the event is on Clement, we also encourage the community to support Geary Boulevard businesses, many of whom have been impacted by the ongoing SFPUC construction. Let’s come together, celebrate, and keep our commercial corridors strong. Let’s Go Geary!” said Sean Kim, vice president of Greater Geary Blvd Merchants and Property Owners Association.

The main stage will feature live performances by Julie and the Warm Bodies, Chinese SDA Church Youth Band, West Coast Lion Dance Troupe, Shaolin Temple, Chinese Folk Dance Association, St. Monica School Band, Ms. Marian’s Dance Garden, Sambaxe, and Your Stray Dog.

“The Heart of Richmond Night Market is an amazing, family-friendly event that brings the community together. It has been successful, thanks to the captivating performances, various booths and fun activities. We are excited to see you all at the last night market of the year!” said Brenda Lee, Center Manager of Asian Family Support Center.

Visitors can also enjoy mahjong hosted by the Richmond Senior Center, LEGO building, mini golf, air hockey, balloon art, corn hole toss, ski ball and a special YBike area for kids. A curated vendor marketplace will showcase local artists, makers, and small businesses.

“The Richmond Night Market has felt like a big neighborhood block party all summer, full of food, local performers, and neighbors bumping into each other on Clement Street. We can’t wait for one last market this Saturday. Come hungry, bring your friends, and let’s send this season off right.” said Manny Yekutiel, co-founder and executive director of the Civic Joy Fund.

“This final installment of our Night Market series is sure to impress with great food, community, and programming at the 4-Star Theater. The Heart of the Richmond Night Market has quickly become a neighborhood staple, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year!” said Chris Squire, president of the Clement Street Merchants Association.

The Heart of the Richmond District Night Market is presented by the Civic Joy Fund and organized in partnership with Supervisor Connie Chan, Geary Boulevard Merchants Association, Community Youth Center (CYC), San Francisco Department of Early Childhood, Clement Street Merchants Association, Gum Moon Women’s Residence, Asian Family Support Center, Richmond YMCA, AGAPE Community Center, The Richmond Neighborhood Center, Self-Help for the Elderly, Richmond Review/Sunset Beacon, and the San Francisco Chinese SDA Church.
