Persimmons

I saw the first crop of persimmons
Stocked on the shelf
At my local Chinese grocery store
Pale in color not yet ripe
YAY I can’t wait!!!!!
Next month October is their season
Fresh they have a bite like an apple
Dried they are as sweet as dried mango

October

October is an awesome month of the year
For oh so many reasons
Two of my favorite people celebrate their birthdays on the same day
My favorite music festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, hoedowns for three days
My favorite Fleet Week flies and sails in with music, drills, ship tours, and Blue Angels airshows
And the best weather, hot and sunny month, all month long
It’s the month I take vacation
Staycation for all the San Francisco fun
Excursion vacation across California or the West Coast
This is the BEST time to have fun in the warm California sun
