1. Fabrix: 432 Clement St.
Hours: 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. daily.
This upcycled fabric shop now has holiday selections of new wools, velvets and fleeces in-store. It’s a perfect place to gather affordable and high quality materials for handmade gifts.

2. Clement Nursery: 1921 Clement St.
Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.
Who doesn’t love plants? They are such a cute gift to give someone in your life, because they are things your loved ones can take care of. Clement Nursery has a beautiful outdoor space, with so many great options, from low-maintenance plants and succulents, to ones that require more attention.

3. Cards and Comics Central: 5424 Geary Blvd.
Hours: noon-6:30 p.m. daily.
This packed comic book store has all types of toys, collectibles and comics. I love strolling around comic stores, because it’s a great place to find niche gifts and delightful little trinkets.
