Robbery of a Commercial Establishment With Force, Aggravated Assault With Other Weapon, Malicious Mischief, Breaking Windows, Outstanding Warrant: 1200 Block of Third Avenue, Oct. 31, 11: 06 p.m.
Park Station officers responded to a report of an assault. The suspect left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.
Officers canvassed the area while other officers investigated the incident.
Investigators learned the suspect had entered the premise earlier and asked for ice cream; the victim gave the suspect a candy bar instead.
The suspect later returned and attempted to walk out of the store with two pints of ice cream. The victim attempted to recover the stolen items when the suspect hit the victim and threw a sign at him.
The suspect returned moments later with a large piece of wood, used it to knock over items on the counter, and used it to break the store window. The suspect then entered the store with a broken piece of glass and began walking toward the victim who ran for cover. The suspect left the store.
While officers interviewed the victim, the victim received a phone call from a neighbor informing him the suspect was in the vicinity of Second Avenue and Hugo Street. Officers canvassed the area and located the suspect at Carl Street and Hillway Avenue. They detained him without incident.
Officers conducted a “cold show,” confirmed he was the suspect involved in the incident, and arrested him.
A computer check confirmed the suspect was wanted for two counts of parole violation. The suspect was arrested.
Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest, Outstanding Warrant: 700 Block of Taraval Street. Nov. 2, 9:18 a.m.
Officers were on patrol when they observed a suspect running down the street holding onto a store basket full of merchandise. Officers then observed security chasing after the suspect.
The officers attempted to detain the suspect, but the suspect fled.
Other officers arrived and managed to detain the suspect.
A computer check revealed the suspect had outstanding warrants for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.
Burglary, Unlawful Entry, Theft From a Locked Vehicle, Narcotics Possession: 100 Block of Edgewood Avenue, Nov. 5, 5:24 a.m.
Park Station officers responded to a residence for a report of a stolen e-bike.
According to the victim and video surveillance footage, the suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle and utilized the garage door opener inside the vehicle to open the garage to the residence. The suspect then fled the area on the stolen e-bike which was taken from inside the garage. Officers responded to the area of the 1000 block of Sutter Street, the location where an air-tag attached to the bicycle was showing, but the officers were unable to locate the bicycle.
The reporting officer later sent out an email about the stolen bicycle. A few hours later, citywide plainclothes officers contacted the victim who provided them with updated locations where the air tag was showing the bicycle.
Officers responded to the last known area (Leavenworth and Eddy streets) and spotted the suspect – whom they recognized from prior burglaries involving stolen bicycles – sitting on a bicycle which matched the description of the stolen bicycle.
With the assistance of the RTIC (Real-Time Intelligence Center), officers continued to monitor the suspect who entered a hotel on the 1000 block of Sutter Street.
A computer check revealed the known suspect was on probation and had a search condition. Officers conducted a probation search on the suspect and later located the stolen bicycle. Officers arrested the suspect.
Outstanding Warrants: Judah Street and 46th Avenue, Nov. 14, 3:11 a.m.
Officers were on patrol when they made a consensual encounter with a subject. The subject willingly identified himself.
A computer check revealed the subject had eight outstanding warrants for their arrest.
The subject was taken into custody.
Assault: 1500 Block of 45th Avenue, Nov. 18, 12:16 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a fight over property. Both parties were involved in a physical altercation.
The suspect then used an ax to break the windows on a vehicle.
After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
Vandalism, Outstanding Warrant: 2100 Block of the Great Highway, Nov. 25, 5:05 p.m.
The witness, a Muni bus driver, told officers the suspect, who had previously been asleep on the bus, attempted to reboard after being removed. When he was denied reentry, the suspect punched a window, causing it to shatter.
Officers located the suspect. A computer check revealed active warrants for his arrest.
The suspect was arrested.
Possession of a Loaded Firearm: 20th Avenue and Rivera Street, Nov. 30, 1:55 a.m.
While on patrol, officers observed a vehicle running a red light. The officers conducted a traffic stop.
Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed a firearm on the front passenger seat. The driver was given lawful commands but failed to comply.
The firearm was safely retrieved, and the driver was placed in handcuffs.
A large quantity of ammunition was also located inside the vehicle.
Following further investigation, the driver was cited.
