Richmond neighbors and city officials celebrated a Geary Boulevard decorative tree and window lighting with a ceremony in front of Joe’s Ice Cream on Geary and 18th Avenue. The Dec. 13, 2025, event started with a performance of holiday music by the Lowell High School Chamber Choir. Among the public figures joining the festivites were San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie, District 1 Supervisor Connie Chan, SF Board of Supervisors President Rafael Mandleman, former Board President Aaron Peskin and former District 1 Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer.
