The victim was romantically involved with the suspect’s girlfriend.
The suspect and his friends confronted the victim and assaulted him in the school gym.
Outstanding Warrant: 1400 Block of the Great Highway, Jan. 6, 9:41 a.m.
An officer responded to assist a city and county worker. The witness told the officer that the suspect was acting aggressively toward the female staff.
Officers arrived and located the subject. A computer check revealed that the subject had a warrant for his arrest.
The subject was arrested.
Battery of a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest: 1300 Block of Judah Street, Jan. 7, 9:36 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a suspect lighting objects on fire and throwing items.
Officers located the suspect, but the suspect fled the scene. Officers were able to catch up to the suspect and placed him in handcuffs. The suspect started kicking an officer.
A witness told officers that she saw the suspect light a shoe on fire in front of a home. The witness put the fire out. The suspect then threw an item at the witness’s son.
After further investigation, the suspect was cited and transported to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
Outstanding Warrant: 800 Block of Irving Street, Jan. 8, 12:02 a.m.
A sergeant was on patrol when he observed a subject sitting in front of a doorway blocking the entrance. The sergeant conducted a consensual encounter. A computer check revealed the subject had eight active warrants for his arrest.
The subject was arrested.
Outstanding Warrant: 1700 Block of Noriega Street, Jan. 8, 1:52 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a suspect eating at a restaurant and not paying.
Officers arrived and detained the suspect. The victim declined to press charges.
The suspect had an active warrant for her arrest. The suspect was arrested.
Outstanding Warrant: 46th Avenue and Judah Street, Jan. 9, 4:11 p.m.
Officers on patrol observed a subject lying on the ground. The subject appeared to be asleep and was obstructing the sidewalk.
The subject was awakened and a computer check on his name revealed a warrant for his arrest.
The subject was arrested.
Robbery: 2200 Block of Taraval Street, Jan. 12, 2:45 a.m.
The victim told officers that an unknown suspect entered the store and lifted his hoodie from his waistband, showing an unknown weapon.
The suspect grabbed cigarettes and cash and fled the scene.
Assault: 1300 Block of 39th Avenue, Jan. 14, 6:45 p.m.
The victim was being uncooperative and he told officers he sometimes yells out nonsense. He told the officers that the suspect came over and brandished a handgun and punched the victim’s face.
The suspect was located and detained. No firearm was located.
Officers located security video of the incident. After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
Robbery: 200 Block of Noriega Street, Jan. 17, 8:22 p.m.
The victim told the officer that he arrived at the location to pick up some building material when six unknown suspects approached him.
One of the suspects pulled a knife. The victim gave the suspect his property, and the suspect kicked him multiple times. The suspects also searched through the victim’s pockets and took his property.
The suspects fled the scene.
Traffic Violation, Suspended Driver’s License: 19th Avenue and Ulloa Street, Jan. 21, 9:26 p.m.
A sergeant on patrol observed a vehicle failing to stop at a red light.
The sergeant conducted a traffic stop, and a computer check on the driver revealed that her license was suspended.
The driver was cited.
Robbery: 1500 Block of 37th Avenue, Jan. 25, 4:33 a.m.
The victim told officers that they were asleep when they heard sounds of someone breaking through the door.
Six suspects appeared and pointed a gun at one of the victims and demanded money. The victim gave the suspects their property, and the suspects fled the scene. The victim said that they may have been targeted.
Battery: Unit Block of West Portal Avenue, Jan. 26, 11:11 a.m.
The victim told officers the suspect approached her and swung a bottle of juice in her direction.
The victim believed the suspect was attempting to pour the juice on her and used her crutch to push the suspect away.
The suspect later confronted the victim for hitting her. The suspect punched the victim and pushed her onto the ground.
The suspect was located and arrested.
Driving While Under the Influence: 32nd Avenue and Vicente Street, Jan. 29, 12:35 a.m.
A sergeant was on patrol when an anonymous witness reported they had almost been involved in an accident with a vehicle whose driver was asleep in the roadway.
The sergeant located the vehicle and observed the driver asleep in the driver’s seat with the engine running. The sergeant woke the driver and spoke with him. The driver exhibited all the signs of being intoxicated.
After further investigation and testing, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
