Malicious Mischief, Graffiti, Real or Personal Property: 2800 Block of California Street, Feb. 28, 7:48 a.m.
Richmond Station officers responded to a report of a vandalism incident at church.
Officers met with a witness who observed a subject spray painting the exterior of the church with gold paint. The church was graffitied with violent antisemitic and homophobic slurs, including numerous swastikas. The messages were written on the walls of the church as well as a city-owned traffic control box and parking meter.
Another passerby stated she had seen the same subject in the past vandalizing the neighborhood with the same messages. She said the subject lived in the neighborhood and worked at a corner store in the area.
Officers responded to the corner store and located a subject who matched the description given by the witness to the crime.
Officers determined there was enough evidence to arrest the subject and he was booked into county jail for vandalism charges.

The suspect was arrested.
Burglary, Forcible Entry: 5200 Block of California Street, March 8 5:50 p.m.
Richmond Station officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress.
Upon their arrival, officers met with a neighbor who said he heard loud banging noises coming from outside his flat near his neighbor’s flat. He observed an unknown female looking around the complex as a “lookout.”
Another neighbor called 911 and reported the possible burglary in progress.
The original neighbor went outside to confront the female subject. The female subject dropped a backpack she was holding and ran off screaming toward the apartment complex. Several other subjects ran out of an apartment unit and in the same direction.
All the subjects entered a waiting vehicle, then fled eastbound on California Street. The witness was able to provide the suspect vehicle’s license plate number.
Officers on scene discovered a flat that had been burglarized and provided the license plate information to dispatch. SFPD Real Time Investigations Center (RTIC) and the SFPD City Wide Plainclothes Unit were able to pick up and track the suspect vehicle via FLOCK cameras and drones. RTIC along with a CHP Air Unit were able to track the vehicle across the bay to Castro Valley, where SFPD plainclothes officers were able to detain all the suspects.
During the investigation, they discovered multiple stolen items from separate victims. A search warrant service at another location associated with this investigation revealed additional stolen property.
All subjects were detained and booked at San Francisco County Jail.
Robbery, Conspiracy, Possession of Stolen Property, Grand Theft, Elder Abuse, Possession of Counterfeit Items With the Intent to Defraud and Possession of Burglary Tools: 17th Avenue and Cabrillo Street, March 20, 2:05 p.m.
Plainclothes officers were canvassing the area of Fulton Street and 26th Avenue when they spotted a vehicle that was stopped. The driver appeared to be talking to an elderly man, but the elderly man appeared to wave at the driver indicating “no.”
Having had experience in incidents where suspects of a vehicle target elderly victims and rob them of their jewelry, officers followed the vehicle.
Around the area of 17th Avenue and Cabrillo Street, officers observed the vehicle approach an elderly woman and attempt to put a necklace around her neck. Despite the woman’s efforts to pull away, the suspect stole the victim’s necklace from around her neck.
Officers followed the vehicle, devised a plan to stop the vehicle and detained both suspects at the intersection of Frederick and Stanyan streets.
A “cold show” confirmed the suspects detained were involved in the robbery.
The suspects were arrested.
