Press Release: Fundraising Event for SF Marin Food Bank at Randall Museum on May 3

SF Marin Food Bank is proud to announce the first San Francisco Empty Bowls event to be held at the Randall Museum, San Francisco on May 3 from 1-3 p.m.

The event brings together art and activism to fight food insecurity on our community. For the price of a ticket, $65, you get to choose from an array of hand crafted bowls donated by SF Bay Area artists, fill it with delicious soup and enjoy an afternoon of music and unsurpassed city views. The price also includes bread, cookies and an option of wine and beer. Your bowls is then your to keep as a reminder of the all the empty bowls in our community.

Soups will be provided by Cafe Josephine, with vegan options available, bread and cookies donated by local bakeries. We are excited to have the Sunset Community Band, Licorice Skillet and Jeff Linn perform for your enjoyment. It promises to be an afternoon of good food while enjoying local musicians in the company of your friends and neighbors community, all for a good cause. All proceeds will directly benefit the SF Marin Food Bank

SF Empty Bowls is part  of the international Empty Bowls movement. By partnering with local artists and food vendors, the organization aims to help reduce hunger in San Francisco and Marin counties.
