Police Blotter: Sunset District

Assault: 1200 Block of 32nd Avenue, March 2, 11:12 p.m.

The victim told officers she was hired to clean the house when the suspect asked her what she was doing there. The suspect then started hitting her. The victim told officers she lost consciousness.

The suspect was later arrested.

Burglary, Outstanding Warrants: 4200 Block of Lawton Street, March 3, 6:07 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress.

Officers spoke to the victim, then searched the residence and located the suspect inside.

After further investigation, officers determined the suspect had outstanding warrants for her arrest.

The suspect was arrested.

Robbery: 1400 Block of 19th Avenue, March 9, 9:03 p.m.

The victim told officers he was working at a gas station when an unknown suspect walked up to him holding a bag containing recyclable cans.

The victim believed he was going to be robbed and tried to push the suspect out of the store. A second suspect then walked in, took out a gun and motioned toward the cash register. The suspect emptied the register and took the money. The suspect hit the victim with the gun. The suspects told the victim to go into the bathroom and stay there.

The suspects then left the scene.

Assault: 2500 Block of 44th Avenue, March 11, 8:22 p.m.

The victim told officers that he had told the suspect, a family member, to move her vehicle. The suspect started a verbal argument. The suspect proceeded to punch the victim and hit him with a glass plate, causing injuries.

The suspect was arrested.

Battery: 2200 Block of 14th Avenue, March 20, 5:54 a.m.

The victim, a student, told office that he was playing in the playground when another student pulled his shorts down. The victim chased after the suspect, and the suspect apologized but then started assaulting the victim.

Outstanding Warrant: 600 Block of Lawton Street, March 23, 8:59 a.m.

The victim told officers that she observed a suspect sitting inside her car.

The suspect was detained. The victim declined to press charges.

A computer check revealed a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was arrested.

Shot Fired: 2200 Block of 22nd Avenue, March 24, 10:43 p.m.

Officers responded to a residence regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim suffering from a gunshot wound and rendered aid.

Paramedics arrived on scene to perform lifesaving measures and transport the victim to a local hospital for her life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical staff, the victim was declared deceased at the hospital.

The San Francisco Homicide Detail responded to the scene to take over the investigation.

A suspect has been identified.

Battery, Resisting Arrest: 1400 Block of 47th Avenue, March 27, 10:19 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a child crying and possibly being home alone.

The witness told officers that she and her friends heard a child crying and later determined the child was home alone.

The suspect, the child’s father, returned home and appeared to be intoxicated. Officers had previously responded to the same address regarding other family-related incidents.

Officers attempted to check on the child’s well-being, but the suspect refused and, at one point, grabbed an officer and pushed him.

The suspect was later arrested for child-related crimes, resisting and battery on an officer.

Burglary: 3700 Block of Taraval Street, March 29, 4:13 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress.

The victim told officers that a suspect had taken a roommate’s bicycle, which had a tracking device. Officers responded to the location indicated by the tracker and located a suspect in possession of the bicycle.

After further investigation, the suspect was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of narcotics.
