I read with interest a recent letter from Dodie Sutro Crawford on the District 1 candidate forums hosted by SOAR. The Sunset is San Francisco’s largest neighborhood. It places a comparatively small burden on city services compared to many other neighborhoods. Why are we so consistently left out?
I’ve lived in Parkmerced since 1988! It has always been a nice quiet residential community. However, in the last year we have noticed an unacceptable increase in crime here.
The current fad and demand to remove statues in San Francisco and elsewhere was analyzed by the chancellor of Oxford University on BBC last month in commenting upon a student demand to remove a bronze statue of Cecil Rhodes as a symbol of “institutional racism” and “white slavery.”
As a working single mom to a child with a disability, social distancing is a luxury I cannot afford.
