To suggest that there is any similarity between Proposition 1 and the act signed by Gov. Reagan (actually in 1967, not 1970) is preposterous. Judge Kopp must know that the 1967 act, which the sponsors said would reduce the number of abortions in California, was nullified, along with all other state abortion laws, by Roe v. Wade.
In the August 2022 Sunset Beacon article written by Kate Quach regarding “Students Join Local Demonstrations Protesting Reversal of Roe v. Wade,” not one of the protesters, nor the readers of this article, have been benefited by ‘Rise Up 4 Abortion Rights for they are still alive and their Mothers have stood Up 4 Right to Life .
Less than a day later, on June 24, on a sunny Friday afternoon, she lifted her own sign amidst crowds of protesters at San Francisco’s City Hall, joining calls against the restriction and removal of abortion access in many states across the United States.
