Despite vacant storefronts lining commercial corridors everywhere, a space that was empty since well before the pandemic is now the site of a new Andronico’s market in the Outer Richmond District at Clement Street and 32nd Avenue.
Some fiddling around helps feed the needy while shoppers at Andronico’s on Irving Street get to enjoy some “old-time music.” That is what Dinah Stroe and her group of musicians have been doing for the past five years, every odd-Tuesday of the month.
Plans for a new Andronico’s Community Market in the former Fresh & Easy grocery space, next to the CVS Pharmacy at Clement Street and 32nd Avenue, were submitted to the San Francisco Planning Department.
