Revisiting the Outer Sunset on Film With Photographer Richard Sexton
At just 23 years old, newlywed photographer Richard Sexton drove a U-Haul packed with furniture and darkroom gear from Georgia to San Francisco. It was 1977, and Sexton had just enrolled in the San Francisco Art Institute, drawn by the City’s dramatic landscape, rich architecture and cultural diversity.

New Book Reveals Photographic Life of Richmond Artist Barbara Ramos
When 77-year-old Barbara Ramos was rummaging through her film negatives during the pandemic in 2020, reviewing her vast collection of moments from the late 1960s and early 1970s she realized it gave her the opportunity to do something she had never done before – publish a book.
