Being a rental property owner in San Francisco gets harder and harder each year. There is a new law that passed in 2020 that requires owners of residential units to get a license before they can increase the rent. On Wednesday, Feb. 1, at approximately 7:20 p.m. an unknown male entered a Jewish Synagogue located on the 2600 block of Balboa Street, shot a firearm several times then fled the scene. There were no reports of injury or property damage. Officers seized expended casings that were fired, which is being investigated as possible blanks.
On Tuesday, Jan. 31, at approximately 8 p.m., an unknown male entered a theater located on the 3600 block of Balboa Street and brandished a handgun. The subject fled the scene on foot on Balboa Street. There was no report of injury or property damage.
