The latest development in the City’s ongoing struggle to deal with people living in recreational vehicles (RVs) is the San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ rejection of Mayor London Breed’s revived policy for towing these rolling shelters away.
It isn’t right that our city applies the laws differently to different groups of people and depending on whether the neighborhood is wealthy or not.
The City needs an adult in the room to apply tough love to radically improve conditions for both the unhoused and the housed. We treat stray dogs better than the conditions I see many unhoused people living in on our streets.
