Last year, artist and art teacher Oleg Osipoff expanded his Sunset District home studio to include a gallery, where some of his favorite pieces are now hanging. The 66-year-old San Francisco native plans to invite people in, but for now it is a peaceful, airy space for him to relax and plan his next painting. And the one after that.

Dance Film SF announces its 2019 selections for the 10th annual San Francisco Dance Film Festival (SFDFF), featuring over 120 dance-based films from 25 countries and the Bay Area. Running Saturday November 2 through Sunday, November 10 across five venues, the film festival will include selected post-screening discussions, industry panel presentations, VR experiences, live performances, and special guests.
On Sept. 9, SF Supervisor Gordon Mar released aggregated crime victim demographic data for the last six years. The data was provided by the San Francisco Police Department in response to Mar’s formal inquiry to the department for 10 years of data, following a number of high-profile crimes against members of the Chinese community.

Officials have confirmed two mountain lion sightings in San Francisco since Aug. 21, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department announced today.
