Here’s who will win my vote for D4 supervisor: I will vote for the candidate with the best vision for how to continue to develop the Sunset into a family friendly neighborhood with vibrant small businesses and beautiful parks.
A lifelong resident of the Sunset, Wong has been a member of the City College Board of Trustees for five years and currently advocates for San Francisco’s children and families through his work at the Children’s Council of San Francisco. He has served in the California Army National Guard since 2009.
As a former supervisor for the district and an elected member of the San Francisco Democratic Party County Central Committee, I believe the Party made the right choice on Aug. 27th in voting to take a No Endorsement position.
What I’d appreciate hearing from my supervisor is a definition of what constitutes a ‘crosswalk’ as pertains to the parking restriction law, and will his office do anything to speed-up the process for marking those crosswalks that will have motorists ticketed?
In news that came as no surprise to anyone, last month Marjan Philhour announced her third run for District 1 supervisor. Knocking out an incumbent – even in a district gerrymandered to improve her prospects – won’t be easy. That said, Philhour will benefit greatly from the largesse of the wealthiest political players in San Francisco, most notably the City’s tech elite.
As I announce my candidacy for District 1 supervisor, I bring a fresh perspective as a non-traditional candidate outside of the established political system. My vision as district supervisor revolves around three core principles: bringing people together, investing in local small businesses and keeping our neighborhood clean and safe.
