This photo from the 1930s shows the Market Street Railway 7-line streetcar #135 southbound headed west on Lincoln Way. SF Municipal Railways map described the streetcar’s route as starting at the Bridge Terminal, then headed down Market Street to Haight Street to Lincoln Way to Ocean Beach to Balboa Street.

This 1990 photo of the San Francisco Ice Rink/San Francisco Ice Arena on 48th Avenue was taken about a year before the building was demolished. It was located at 1557 48th Ave., between Kirkham and Lawton streets.

The Pioneer Log Cabin near Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park was dedicated in 1911. It is still in great shape because it is made of interlocking unpeeled redwood logs. Redwood is resistant to both insects and rot if water is not left to collect on it.
