Businesses in San Francisco may soon start getting electricity from the city’s CleanPowerSF program.
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) will enlist 25,000 commercial electricity customers citywide into the program starting in June.
According to the City, the cost of electricity in the CleanPowerSF program will “be competitive” with PG&E’s rates. Commercial customers who are selected for the enrollment have already begun receiving notices via U.S. mail. The SFPUC anticipates enrolling all eligible San Francisco customers in CleanPowerSF by July 2019.
