ADAPTIVE BIKE PROGRAM

San Francisco’s free Adaptive Bike Program in Golden Gate Park on Saturdays through Oct. 26 provides hand cycles, foot trikes and tandem bikes for use on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The adaptive cycles will be available at the Music Concourse behind the Bandshell (75 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr.), next to the accessible parking lot. PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES:

Craft: Retablos and Milagros Block Printing Workshop. Participants will create their own retablo-inspired image using block printing techniques and added illustrations. They will learn about the process of relief printing and about the retablo folk art tradition. First come first served, supplies limited. Facilitated by Alyssa Aviles is a visual artist and arts educator based in San Francisco, CA. She graduated with a BFA in Printmaking from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and is currently completing a studio apprenticeship at Mullowney Printing Co. in Portland, Oregon. Alyssa has collaborated with the SFMOMA, the De Young Museum Galería de la Raza, the SF Opera, SOMArts, Kala Art Institute, YBCA, the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts and Youth Art Exchange to exhibit work and facilitate community workshops. “Refuse Refuse: Neighborhood cleanup and Storytime.” Led by community member Vince Yuen, meet at the 10th Avenue door of the Richmond Library to help with neighborhood clean-up. Every second Tuesday of the month. Oct. 8, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

• Presentation: The Impact of Alzheimer’s and Dementia In Our Community

• Workshop: Travel Apps. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2-3 p.m. In this Community Tech Network (CTN)workshop, you’ll learn how to use online tools like Expedia to enhance your travel experience. We will talk about creating an itinerary, finding tickets for flights and experiences, and book accommodations. We’ll also talk about general advice to get a deal on travel and avoid common headaches while traveling. This workshop will be presented in English, with Chinese translation provided by CTN staff.
