In the Sunset District, the degree to which local businesses are being affected varies based on when they were forced to close and their ability to maintain other ways to generate income. But they are all struggling to support their employees and their customers and await an uncertain future if and when they reopen.

Pandemic Prompts Shelter-in-Place Order: Businesses Struggle to Survive
The heart of Golden Gate Park is the Music Concourse, an open-air plaza flanked by two state-of-the-art cultural institutions: the California Academy of Sciences and the M.H. de Young Memorial Museum. It is also the site of the beloved Japanese Tea Garden.
Many visitors and some locals delight at seeing a small herd of buffalo in Golden Gate Park. Seasoned San Franciscans and knowledgable visitors know the truth: the large, lumbering animals grazing in the enclosed meadow along John F. Kennedy Drive just west of Spreckels Lake aren’t buffalo. They are American bison.
Advice from health care agencies (such as the CDC) about the importance of personal sanitation and keeping social distance from others to protect ourselves may have helped us in minimizing the infected cases of the coronavirus.
