When asked why it takes a full decade to fix up one ragged block of Ninth Avenue between Kirkham and Lawton streets, the City’s response could be summed up as something akin to “it’s complicated.”
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department along with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) announced recently that repairs at Sigmund Stern Grove’s Concert Meadow are nearing completion and will be ready just in time for the 85th annual Stern Grove Festival. Additional repair work in other areas of Stern Grove will continue through summer of 2023, but will not affect the concert series.
