Filmmaker David Lynch Honored Posthumously at Balboa
A thick fog blanketed the outer avenues along Balboa Street. The Balboa Theater’s marquee glowed red in the moonlight. Across the street, a pair of raccoons fiddled with candy wrappers and potato chip bags, finding no luck inside of them. It was a rather Lynchian scene.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Paul McCartney was spending time in his archives, preparing a photo exhibition of the late Linda McCartney (Eastman), his first wife. The task happened to remind him that he had taken photos during a momentous three-month period (December 1963 through February 1964), when the Beatles were on the cusp of superstardom, often referred to as Beatlemania.

I would really like to see Connie Chan host a “Coffee with Connie” monthly meet-up with Richmond District neighbors. I remember when former Supervisor Eric Mar did it. I attended a couple of meetings and found them to be productive, and Eric took the time to listen to neighbors.

Pea shoots contain many important nutrients, such as protein, vitamins A, B1, B5, B9, C, folate and E, as well as potassium and phosphorous – some in remarkable quantities. A serving of 100 grams of pea shoots can provide 4 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber, 280 micrograms of vitamin K, 79 milligrams of vitamin C and 340 micrograms of vitamin A.
