Police Blotter: Sunset District

Outstanding Warrant: 46th Avenue and Judah Street, Aug. 31, 9:41 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a suspect playing loud music.

Officers located the suspect at the corner with an open container of alcohol and a five-foot-tall speaker.

The officer investigated the incident and later arrested the suspect for an outstanding warrant.

Robbery: 1500 Block of 11th Avenue, Sept. 3, 1:54 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a robbery with force.

The victim, a USPS mail carrier told the officers that three suspects approached him and used force to take his keys and mailbag.

The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a fourth suspect.

Burglary: 1800 Block of Taraval Street, Sept. 3, 3:18 a.m.

A sergeant was patrolling the area where a hardware store was a victim of fire and numerous burglaries.

As the sergeant pulled up to the location, he observed a suspect moving items from the building into a vehicle.

The suspect was detained.

Additional units arrived to assist.

A search of the building revealed another suspect inside.

After further investigation, the suspects were arrested.

Robbery: 20th Avenue and Taraval Street, Sept. 6, 12:21 p.m.

The victim told responding officers she was in her vehicle when a vehicle stopped next to her. A suspect approached her vehicle and pointed a firearm at her and demanded her property.

The victim gave the suspect her property. The suspect then entered a vehicle driven by a second suspect and they fled the scene.

Outstanding Warrant: Judah Street and 44th Avenue, Sept. 12, 10:31 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a suspect punching vehicles.

Officers located the suspect and detained him.

A computer check revealed two warrants for his arrest.

Officers determined there was no damage to the vehicles.

The suspect was arrested for the warrant.

Burglary, Resisting Arrest: 1500 Block of Sloat Boulevard, Sept. 12, 1:20 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary.

Dispatch advised officers the suspect had broken the window and left on a bicycle with stolen merchandise.

Officers arrived and observed a suspect leaving the scene. The suspect attempted to flee, but the officers were able to detain him.

After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.

Battery: 1200 Block of Ninth Avenue, Sept. 23, 6:11 p.m.

The victim, a manager of a bar, told officers the suspect approached her and demanded to know why he was banned from the bar. The victim started filming the incident.

The suspect attempted to grab the cell phone. The victim told officers the suspect was punched and kicked when they tried to grab the cell phone.

Driving While Intoxicated: 24th Avenue and Kirkham Street, Sept. 23, 10:54 p.m.

The officer was on patrol when he saw a vehicle stopped at a stoplight, not moving.

The office contacted the driver. The driver had obvious signs of being intoxicated. The officer administered tests to the driver which he failed.

The driver was arrested.

Battery: Pacheco Street and 31st Avenue, Sept. 27, 5:19 p.m.

The victim told officers he saw a vehicle parked in front of his home with its door open.

The victim looked inside to make sure the vehicle had not been burglarized. The victim did not see anything, so he started walking away.

The suspect approached the victim and started hitting him.

After further investigation, the suspect was arrested.
