Those brick columns delineate the boundaries of the historic residential park neighborhood of Lincoln Manor (36th to 38th Avenues to the east and west and Geary and Clement to the north and south). Lincoln Manor (like Clay Park, Sea Cliff Terrace, St. Francis Woods, Jordan Park, etc) were developed in the early 1900’s.
