False Personation, Resisting Arrest: 3200 Block of 20th Avenue, May 10, 2:42 p.m.
An officer on patrol in Stonestown Galleria was notified of a suspect who had stolen merchandise. The officer attempted to detain the suspect, but she fled. After a brief chase, the suspect was placed in handcuffs. The witness told officers that the suspect had stolen numerous items of merchandise and left without paying. The suspect provided a false name to the officers. Officers later obtained the suspect’s true identity, which revealed an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The suspect was arrested.
Threats: 1500 Block of Sloat Boulevard, May 12, 6:58 p.m.
The victim told officers that he received a phone call threatening him. The suspect was known to the victim.
Homicide: 2500 Block of 46th Avenue, May 17, 5:21 a.m.
Officers responded regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a victim suffering from injuries caused by gunshot wounds and rendered aid. Paramedics arrived on scene and performed life-saving measures. Despite the life-saving efforts by first responders, the victim was declared deceased on scene.
The San Francisco Police Department Homicide Detail responded to take over the investigation.
Throughout the course of their investigation, investigators identified the suspect as 68-year-old male Philippe Chagniot of San Francisco and developed probable cause to place him under arrest.
On May 27, SFPD investigators located Chagniot and placed him under arrest without incident. Members of the SFPD Homicide Detail later executed a search warrant of Chagniot’s residence and seized evidence connected to the incident.
Chagniot was transported to San Francisco County jail and booked for murder.

Burglary: May 21, Unit Block of West Portal Avenue, 3:20 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a burglar alarm call, and the alarm company reported seeing a suspect through live camera. Officers arrived on scene and observed the front door ajar. Officers located the suspect and later arrested him.
Under the Influence: 800 Block of Taraval Street, May 23, 4:12 a.m.
Officers responded to a report of a suspect harassing people. The suspect was located and appeared to be intoxicated. Officers attempted to place the suspect in handcuffs, but he resisted. The suspect was later detained and transported to the county jail for detox.
Battery: 19th Avenue and Wawona Street, May 25, 1:28 p.m.
The victim told officers that he was riding his bike on the sidewalk when a suspect inside a vehicle fired an airsoft projectile and threw water at him. The suspect fled the scene.
