Police Blotter: Sunset District

False Imprisonment, Elder Abuse, Resisting Police: 1400 Block of 41st Avenue, July 5, 11:30 p.m.

Officers responded to a report requesting a welfare check on a victim who was allegedly being held against her will by the suspect, her son. Officers arrived on scene and attempted to detain the suspect. The suspect resisted and bit multiple officers as they attempted to place him in handcuffs. The victim told officers that the suspect had been under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The suspect was arrested.

Burglary: 2500 Block of 45th Avenue, July 19, 9:57 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a house that had been broken into. SFPD Drone unit also responded and reported seeing a suspect in the backyard trying to flee by hopping over fences. Responding officers were able to take that suspect into custody. Officers searched the home and located another suspect. After further investigation, both suspects were arrested.

Battery: 1400 Block of Ninth

Avenue, July 22, 7:14 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a battery. The victim told officers that his roommate, the suspect, had been served with an eviction notice. Later that day, they became involved in a verbal argument, which escalated when the suspect pushed the victim, causing injuries. The suspect was cited.
