Mr. James W. Chow, a longtime Richmond District resident, reached his 100th birthday on this earth on May 12 with the comment that the keys to his longevity are: hard work, exercise, eggs, oatmeal, reading the newspapers, and “talking with people!” His nickname in school was Gabby.
