Dear Editor:
Voters beware: A potpourri of disinformation awaits you this election year. Wealthy individuals, whose largesses has been minted through their investments in anti-environmental A.I. and crypto ‘currency’ know how they want you to vote, which is in the financial and social supremacist interests of their class. Once again, they are spending enormous sums to propagandize the “low information voter” to vote their way.
Stuffing postal boxes with disingenuous fliers that arrive on a near-daily basis has proven to be a fruitful strategy for Daniel Lurie. He was able to buy himself a mayorship with his $10.5 million investment, which included a million donated by his mother, Mimi Hass. His billions in net worth is fueled by the unglamorous work of women slaving in sweatshops in low-wage impoverished countries.
Our elites are nothing if not hypocritical. Since taking office Lurie has done everything within his power to stave off the rising tide of equality and social justice in favor of the corrupt interests who have created the current cesspool. This stands in direct contrast to the values to which he and he effete “moderate” members of his social class pay lip service to. Lurie has forced the termination of the best police commissioner San Francisco has ever seen. He has used the budget deficit to cut aid to those most in need. He has ended policies benefiting the unhoused, whose efficacy experts have touted, in favor of Matt Dorsey-style regressive right-wing policies. His position is that the efficacy of commissions should be neutered. An initiative is underway to have voters do just that. It will hand our oppressive corporate right even more power to rig the process and outcomes.
Elites are forcing us to consider a ballot initiative in search of a problem to solve, namely term limits on supervisors. Sadly, six supervisors, including “YIMBY” maven Myrna Melgar, want to curtail voter choice on the ballot. The self-enriching Nancy Pelosi supports this measure. Yet, she would not like to have had a similar measure applied to limit her tenure in the House.
Her would-be successor Scott Wiener tries to sell himself as a “progressive.” He urges working people to support tax hikes to “save” MUNI and BART, while neglecting to mention that parcel taxes also raise rents and housing costs; or even that their sales tax (an additional 1% hike on everything purchased in San Francisco, save prescription drugs and food) will be going up.
Why? Because elites do not want to pay their share of taxes but still seek to profit from tax revenues. They even want their business taxes lowered. Even with these new taxes, transit will still see cuts. Our Michael Moritzes and Chris Larsens intensely resent every tax dollar they contribute!
Don’t buy the elite-funded propaganda coming to your mailbox. Do your own research and demand answers from candidates. Tell your friends in their districts not to vote for the likes of Manny, Sherrill and Wiener or trans-sports-participation-critical Marie. Elites have the money, but we still have a voice!

Very well stated! Thank you for saying this in print. I’m sick of seeing all these press releases, manufactured ”SF” names, and their whole approach of breaking everything and then saying only they can fix it. Wish they would just leave the planet already and take their park vibes and brown wingtips with them.
