Burglary, Hot Prowl, Unlawful Entry: 1900 Block of Cabrillo Street, May 17, 9:33 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary. Upon their arrival they met with the victim, who stated he woke up to find several items missing from the front room of his apartment and the front door was left wide open. The victim stated he sometimes forgets to lock the front door. There were no signs of forced entry on the door. There were no suspect descriptions. The incident was forwarded to the Burglary unit for follow-up.

False Personation To Receive Money or Property: 5400 Block of Geary Boulevard, June 5, 11:30 a.m.

The victim stated he went into the Wells Fargo Bank and met with his banker, who showed him his Wells Fargo Bill Pay statements. He stated he had never enrolled in Bill Pay and located several unauthorized transactions made by an unknown party from his checking account. An additional report was filed on IC3.gov and FTC.gov. The incident was forwarded to the SFPD Fraud investigation unit.

Terrorist Threats: Intersection of Haight Street and Masonic Avenue, June 8, 9 a.m.

Officers responded to the vicinity for a subject holding a metal pole and threatening to kill the victim. On arrival, the victim pointed out and directed officers to the suspect. Officers detained the suspect without incident. Per the victim, the suspect stood outside a business which the victim was in and yelled that she was going to kill them. The victim informed officers that the suspect had a history of harassing them and had knowledge of where they worked. Officers located a plastic pole near the suspect and arrested them for terrorist threats.

Drugs, Under Influence in a Public Place: 100 Block of Sixth Avenue, June 8, 3:57 p.m.

Officers were on uniformed patrol in a marked SFPD vehicle. They responded to a call of a person smoking from a glass pipe. The officers located a subject in the alcove of a residence on the 400 block of Lake Street. The officers observed the subject exhaling white smoke. The officers stopped their patrol vehicle and observed the subject place the glass pipe in his right pant pocket. It is common for glass pipes to be used to smoke and inhale narcotics. Officers approached the subject and told him he was being detained for drug paraphernalia. Officers administered several FST and DRE tests on the subject. Based on the officer’s training and experience and his observations, it was determined the subject was under the influence of a CNS stimulant. The subject was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed the glass pipe in the subject’s right pant pocket. The bulb contained white, brown and black substances. A records check revealed the subject was a missing person. The subject stated he was not a victim of any crime. He was issued a citation for the misdemeanor violations of 11550(a) HS and 11364(a) HS and released at the scene.

Assault, State Code Felony: 700 Block of Cole Street, June 9, 4:34 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a suspect who pepper sprayed multiple victims. As the primary officers arrived on scene, other officers canvassed the area and detained a suspect who matched the description. The primary officers contacted three victims and multiple witnesses and learned that the suspect was yelling and getting into verbal altercations with multiple victims before pepper spraying them in the face. Officers conducted cold shows with two victims and witnesses who confirmed the detained suspect was indeed involved in the incidents. Officers arrested them for three counts of unlawfully using tear gas.

Elder Adult or Dependent Abuse, Warrant Arrest, Possession and Sale of a Weapon: 400 Block of Duboce Avenue, June 15, 11 a.m.

Officers responded to the residential building at 400 Duboce Avenue in response to a trespasser who was assaulting people inside. Officers detained two subjects without incident; review of video footage later confirmed the subjects were the suspects involved in the incident. Per their investigation, the first subject was a resident of the building and began assaulting the second subject for unknown reasons. Officers later found a set of brass knuckles in the first subject’s pocket. The first subject was arrested for three counts of elder abuse and possession of brass knuckles. A computer query of the second subject revealed that there were warrants for her. Officers then arrested her.

Aggravated Assault with a Knife: Intersection of Waller and Clayton streets, June 18, 6:31 a.m.

Officers responded to a report of a physical altercation that escalated into a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers detained a subject who admitted to possessing a knife and using it during the incident. Officers observed blood on the subject’s hand and on the recovered knife. During the detention, the subject began making statements about selfharm and repeatedly struck their head against nearby objects. Officers restrained the subject to prevent further injury and requested medical aid. Officers located the victim a short distance away suffering from stab wounds to the arm and back. The victim identified the detained subject as the person responsible for the assault. Medics transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A cold show was conducted, during which the victim positively identified the suspect. Evidence, including the knife and the victim’s clothing, was collected and booked. No additional witnesses or surveillance footage were located. Based on the victim’s statements, injuries, identification of the suspect and the evidence recovered during the investigation, the suspect was arrested and booked for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect was later transported to a medical facility for evaluation due to continued self-harm behavior.
