After 17 Years on Clement St., USPS Closure Leaves Many Inconvenienced
The United States Postal Service (USPS) store at 837 Clement St. had its last day of operations on June 18. For the past 17 years, this postal location has served the Richmond District.
Press Release: Slavic Voice 4 Ukraine
On Wed. Sept. 2 Slavic Voice 4 Ukraine and the United Nations Association of the USA San Francisco Chapter Youth Advocacy Committee will host a screening of 2000 Meters to Andriivka, an acclaimed documentary that follows Ukrainian soldiers as they fight to reclaim the small village of Andriivka in eastern Ukraine. The event will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. at 401 Van Ness Ave. and is open to members of the public.
Cooking Together: Kale and Quinoa Salad
This is a colorful, easy to prepare and nourishing salad. It makes a good addition to any meal. The deep green Dino kale and white quinoa dotted with strips of red bell pepper, cherry tomatoes and slivered almonds make this salad nutritious, colorful and crunchy. The lemony vinaigrette tenderizes the kale while giving it a refreshening taste. Both quinoa and kale have a good deal of protein and they are both low in calories.
